Arnold Ayoo acts in successful flight-delay claim against airline

Arnold Ayoo has successfully acted for a claimant who sued a national airline over a five-hour flight delay. Damage was caused to a plane as a result of a bird-strike to its wing, however the airline failed to discover the damage until 90 minutes after the plane landed. Notwithstanding the fact that the case was decided by a district judge, it demonstrated that even if a delay is caused by an ‘exceptional circumstance’ – any failure to discover the technical problem within a reasonable time could mean that the airline must compensate passengers.
