Bradford Bulls go into liquidation

The company behind the Bradford Bulls rugby league club has gone into liquidation after administrators refused a consortium bid for the club. Bradford Bulls were once one of the sport’s leading clubs and are former champions of the Super League but have suffered financial difficulties in recent years. The RFL has confirmed that a Bradford-based club would be accepted into the Super League starting in February 2017 but will be subject to a 12 point deduction. It remains to be seen whether such a club now comes forward.
