The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) issued two new instruments on 29 April 2016 updating the FCA Handbook, relating to compensation and the Market Abuse Regulation.
The new instruments are:
- FCA 2016/33—Compensation Sourcebook (Amendment No 10) Instrument 2016, which among other things deletes descriptions of such terms as ‘inside information’ and ‘insider’
- FCA 2016/31—Market Abuse Regulation Instrument 2016, which comes into force in advance of the implementation of the Market Abuse Regulation in the UK
The two instruments come into effect on 29 April 2016 and 3 July 2016 respectively.
